Albert's Story

Albert Aponte, age 58, W. Maple Rd., Geneva, died Tuesday in the Hospice Unit at the Ashtabula Co. Medical Center.
He was born April 30, 1959, in Geneva, the son of Enrique & Luisa A. (DeAngelis) Aponte and has been a lifelong resident of the area. Albert was a truck driver with the Sidley Corp. more than 30 years. His enjoyments were RC airplanes and cars, HIT MISS engines and also liked working on cars and tractors. He was a huge movie buff and had quite the collection.
Survivors include his children, Nicholas J. (Kristen) Aponte of Santee, CA and Joshua A. (Heather) Aponte of Jefferson; a grandson, Justin Aponte of Jefferson; brothers Enrique M. (Denise) Aponte & John A. Aponte, both of Geneva; sisters Lisa I. Aponte of Ashtabula & Norma A. Aponte of Columbus; and a nephew and niece, Hank Burlingame & Connie Aponte.
His parents preceded him in death.
Albert will be blessing others with the gift of life through his donation to Lifebanc.
