Betty was born September 19, 1943, in Drumright, Oklahoma to Leo and Edith Spencer. As one of 7 siblings, she was a terrific and loving sister, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. Betty leaves a legacy of love, family and a lifetime of fond memories. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family was her top priority as she balanced early years of full time work, and later years of battling illness.
Betty met the love of her life, Alfred Poeschel, in 1962 in St. Paul, MN. where they remained to begin their family. In the early years of their marriage, they were blessed with 4 children in 5 years: Edie, Frank, Debbie and Cindy. In 1967, they moved to Tulsa and were fortunate to be close to Betty's siblings. Her children were her pride and joy as she raised the bar of how to be a loving, strong parent while working full time.
As strong Catholics, Betty and Al sent their four children to Catholic elementary and junior high school and demonstrated their strong desire for their children to be productive, charitable members of the community.
Betty was a role model for hard work and dedication to God, family and the less fortunate. Betty's love of music and politics were the topic of many family dinners and holidays, as she taught all how to debate with passion.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, beloved sisters EvaLea Connor and Lela Chambers, sister-in-law Lucille Poeschel, brother-in-law Frank Halling, niece Connie Keirsey and her grandson Tanner Poeschel. Her family is comforted in knowing they are all together again in the kingdom of God.
Betty is survived by her husband Alfred Poeschel; her children, Edie Brumett, Frank Poeschel (Tobye), Debra Loudermilk (Kevin), and Cindy Roberston (Joey) ; her grandchildren Brian Harmon, Taylor Poeschel, Joseph Poeschel (Allison) April Taylor, Robert Loudermilk (Sally), Josh Loudermilk, Rylee Mitchell (Jerad), Dylan Amos, Kasey Amos, Cooper Robertson and Carter Robertson; her great grandchildren Anthony, Alexa, Levi, Jackson, and Hallie; her siblings Helen (Martin), Glen, Gary, and Larry (Pat); as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
