Betty Ellen Wagnon was born on Oct. 4, 1934 in Claremore, to Judge and Ella (Hosey) Thompson. She passed away on Oct. 17, 2016 at her home in Salina.
She grew up in the Salina area and lived there all of her life. She and Jack Wagnon were a couple for 18 years upon his death in 1970.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking native foods, doing puzzles of any kind, and going to the casino. She loved animals and always had pets. Above all, she loved her family and just recently celebrated her 82nd birthday with them. Betty's greatest joy was having her family together and spending time with them. She was loved and will be missed by all who shared in her life.
She attended church at New Jordan First Baptist Church.
She is survived by five daughters; Ella Henson of Salina, Nellie Troutman and husband Clay of Tahlequah, Peggy Rock of Salina, Sherry Haley and husband Dan of Salina, and Terri Arthurs and husband Doug of Pryor; one son, Johnny Wagnon and wife Janie of Spavinaw; 27 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and three children, Scott Wagnon, Andrew Wagnon, and Wanda Wagnon.
