Billy's Story

Billy Mack Spradlin was born on October 16, 1949, in Peggs, OK, to Bill & Leeanna (Ragland) Spradlin. He departed this life on Sunday, March 20, 2016, in Tulsa, OK, at the age of 66 years, 5 months, & 4 days.

Growing up, Billy attended Peggs Schools. He served his country in the United States Army. He had worked as a welder. Billy lived most of his life in the Peggs & Locust Grove area. He attended the Cornerstone Outreach Church in Locust Grove. On September 11, 1999, in Eureka Springs, AR, Billy & Julie Louise Robison were united in marriage.

Billy enjoyed fishing & hunting. He was a shell diver & had found many different things in the area lakes throughout the years. Billy called everyone he came into contact with either "sissy" or "bubba". His grandchildren were his life & he loved his family dearly. Billy will be missed by all that knew & loved him.

Billy is survived by: his wife: Julie Spradlin of the home; 4 children: Amanda James of Broken Arrow, OK, Christy Davis & husband Puddin of Kenwood, OK, Sonny James of Locust Grove, OK, & Billy Spradlin, Jr. of Locust Grove, OK; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 2 brothers: Willard Spradlin & wife Carol of Peggs, OK, & Jesse Spradlin & wife Charolette of Muskogee, OK; 3 sisters: Sam Taylor & husband Jeff of Pryor, OK, Linda Jordan & husband Phillip of Farmington, AR, & Rosita Livingston & husband Randy of Tahlequah, OK; Numerous other relatives & a host of friends.

Billy was preceded in death by: his parents; 2 sisters: Ruth Warren & Linda Spradlin; and his grandmother: Ada Spradlin.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Cornerstone Outreach Church in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Pastor Rick Kiddy and Reverend Rex Hendrickson will officiate. Interment will follow at the New Home Cemetery in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the Locust Grove Funeral Home.
