Funeral services for Colton Dakota Sharp, 25, of Pryor will be Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Herchel Avra Performing Arts Center in Pryor. Linda Treas, Sondra Ladd, and Jordan Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6 to 8pm at Stephens-Key Chapel. Services are entrusted to Stephens-Key Funeral and Cremation Care.
Colton Dakota Sharp was born on July 13, 1991 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Andrew Veston and Cheryl Ann (Kreger) Sharp. He departed this life on October 25, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 25 years, 3 months, and 12 days.
Colton grew up and attended school in Stroud until 1999 when his family moved to Pryor. He graduated with the Pryor High School Class of 2009 then attended two years at Northeast Area Vo-Tech where he learned the welding trade. He went to work at Pelco in Claremore until this past July and then began working for TIC Welding at the GRDA Coal Fire Plant.
Colton was married to Hadlee Richards on November 8, 2014. They made their home in Pryor and have one infant son, eight month old, Veston. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his wife and son; he loved his family very much. He also shared a special relationship with his Nannie, she loved him dearly. He was known to have a heart of gold to all who knew him and he would do anything for those that needed him. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, noodling, and swimming. He also loved family gatherings. He was deeply loved and will be missed.
He is survived by his wife Hadlee and eight month old son, Veston of the home; his father, Andy Sharp and wife Phyllis of Stroud; his mother, Cheryl Pritchett and husband Scott of Pryor; four sisters, Mistie Storm of Tulsa, Joy Sharp of Ponca City, Sommer Storm of Pryor, and Baylea Wilson and husband Eric of Carney; three brothers, Shane Sharp and wife Alicia of Chandler, Matt Soderstrom of Chandler, and Jordan Johnson and wife Mariah of El Paso, Texas; two brothers in law, Hayden Richards and Carson Richards; two sisters in law, Havannah Stites and Hallee Evans; his grandparents, M. Glenn Kreger of Pryor and Leota Trice of Tecumseh; numerous of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Brenda Kay Kreger, Andrew V. Sharp Sr., Lillie Mae Sharp, Sid Trice, and Roy and Linda Jones; one niece, Zowie and one nephew, Journey.
