A funeral ceremony honoring and remembering the life of Deloris Joyce Adams Brunson will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Church of God (7th Day) in Claremore. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Rice Funeral Service.
Joyce passed away early Wednesday morning, May 17, 2017 at Clarehouse in Tulsa. She was 82.
Born in Inola, Oklahoma, Joyce was the daughter of the late Clifford and Pauline Hinds Adams.
She graduated from Inola High School and furthered her education at Midwest Bible College in Stanberry, Missouri.
Joyce enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, hosting family and friends in her home, and was an active member of the Church of God (7th Day).
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and Pauline Adams, her brother Harvey Adams, and her son, Rocky Jay Brunson.
Survivors include her husband, Garland R. "Guy" Brunson, of the home, daughter Rhonda (Dave) Franklin of Broken Arrow, and son Randy (Teresa) Brunson of Atlanta, Georgia, and her brrother Jon and wife, Pat Adams of Talala.
She is also survived by grandchildren Stephanie (Doug) Sandridge of Bixby, Justin (Courtney) Brunson of Decatur, Georgia, Gina Fernandez of Collinsville, Marty (Justin) Gates of Canton, Georgia, Micah Fernandez of Broken Arrow, Sarah Brunson of Broken Arrow, and Parker Brunson of Arnold, Missouri,, as well as nine great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
