Dorothy J. (Farley) Morrill, age 84, of Amesbury, formerly of Newburyport and Malden, passed peacefully early Wednesday morning at Maplewood Center in Amesbury. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Morrill.
Born in St. Stephen's, New Brunswick, Canada on November 15, 1933, she was one of three daughters of the late Lloyd and Lillian (Prescott) Farley, and grew up in Machias Maine. She graduated from Amesbury High School, then went on to attend College in Machias, Maine.
Dorothy worked in Human Services as a Director for the Council on Aging in Malden.
She is survived by four sons, Robert Morrill and wife Linda of Taunton, Scott Morrill of Portsmouth, N.H., Michael Morrill and wife Lisa Williams of West Reading, PA and Jay Morrill of Seabrook, N.H.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her two sisters, Mildred and Helen.
Visiting hours at the Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green Street, Newburyport will be Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 5 to 7 P.M. immediately followed by funeral services. By request of the family, burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation, 200 S. E. First Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
