87, of Johnstown died December 5, 2017, at her home. Born January 21, 1930, in Johnstown the daughter of Walter and Josephine (Igielski) Konik. Preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sharon (Mikesic) Popchak; sisters: Mary Intihar, Jean Sady and Lucy Lenick; and brother, George Konik. Survived by her loving husband of 64 years, William Mikesic; children: Deborah, wife of William Kelly, Johnstown; and Gerald, married to Christine (Mitchell) Greensburg; grandchildren: Jessica Kelly and companion, Ryan Wagner; Beth Kelly, and Jennifer (Kelly), wife of Justin Rozwat; great-grandsons Ethan and Luke; son-in-law, Raymond Popchak, Johnstown; and sister, Eleanor Mauger, North Tonawanda, NY. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A member of the former St. Rocus Catholic Church where Frances was active making pierogis and nut roll. Current member of St. Therese Catholic Church where funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Fr. Bernard Karmanocky, OFM officiating. Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the FRANCIS G. OZOG FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 710 Broad St. where vigil service will be held. Committal will take place at Grandview Cemetery. The family would like to thank nurse Judy, caseworker Amy and the staff of Conemaugh Hospice along with Donna and the Allegheny Lutheran Social Services for the loving care they gave to Frances during her illness.
