George's Story

Mr. George Anthony Deslongchamp of Norman, OK passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the age of 75.

George was born to parents George and Margaret (Unrein) Deslongchamp on December 12, 1942 in Denver, CO. He grew up as the eldest of six and attended Garden City High School. In 1962, George enlisted in the United States Navy, was a proud Vietnam veteran, and retired as a Chief Petty Officer in 1982.

In 1967 he married Karen Palen of Garden City, KS and the couple had two children.

George is survived by: his wife Karen; daughter Ninette Mills; son Christopher Deslongchamp and wife Colleen; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Margaret.

Georges family has entrusted his care to Tribute Memorial Care in Norman. Services will be held on Saturday, February 17th at St. Thomas More University Parish in Norman, OK (100 Stinson St). A memorial Rosary will begin at 9:00am with Mass at 10:00am. Georges final resting place will be at the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK.
