Services to honor and remember the life of Harry Lee Krause will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Church of God Seventh Day in Claremore. He will be laid to rest in Sweeten Cemetery, Inola. Harry passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016 in Claremore. He was 89.
Born July 9, 1927 in Inola to Frank and Mina (Drake) Krause, Harry was raised north of Claremore in the Dog Creek Hills. It was in Foyil that he received his education and became a high school graduate.
1976 marked the beginning of Harry's long-time business endeavor, Nu-Way Carpet Cleaning, where he established and fostered numerous close-knit relationships within the community.
A nearly seventy-year member of the Church of God Seventh Day in Claremore, Harry was devout to his faith and to his congregation.
Harry is survived by: his nephew, Kevin Krause of Claremore; five nieces: Cindy Kuehn of Nowata, Carolyn Dudley and Naomi Jones both of Claremore; Wanda Lewis of Foyil and Jackie Mullis of Tulsa. He is also survived by numerous other family members including great nephews and great nieces: Shane, Brandon, Journey, Karen and Elizabeth Krause.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; two brothers: Melvin and Clayton; an infant sister, Hazel along with two other sisters: Alma and Irene. He was also preceded by a niece, Sharon Stogsdill.
