Joella was born on Oct. 14, 1957 in Mountainair, N.M. to Eugene and Delores (Baca) Panter. She was reared and educated in Foyil, graduating from Foyil High School with the class of 1975. Joella continued her education by attending Claremore Junior College, receiving her associates degree in accounting. Following her education she worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield, Graphic Electric and John Zinc. She also worked at the Foyil Cafe with her mother. Most recently she sold “Ella’s Dips” at different trade shows. She loved this work because it brought many new and different people into her life. On Nov. 13, 1982 she married James Henry Crouch and the couple was blessed with a son, Joel. A people person, Joella was a magnet for friends. She loved having parties and looked for any reason to host a get together. Joella’s nature was sincere and generous and many were recipients of her great friendship. Family was first and she never missed any of Joel’s sporting events. Those family members that survive include her husband Henry of their home and her son and daughter-in-law Joel and Kelly Crouch of Addison, Texas and many extended family members and friends. Joella was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Delores Panter. View and sign Joella’s online tribute at MMS – Payne Funeral Home & Cremation Service
