Joseph "Joey" DeWitt, 52, Pierceton died Dec. 5.
He was born July 19, 1965, in Garrett, to Joe and Ella Nora DeWitt.
He graduated in 1983 from Wawasee High School.
He was married Dec. 18, 1993, to Cynthia S. "Cyndi" (Mullins) Hawthorne, who survives.
He formerly worked at The Car Company in Warsaw, Supreme Corporation in Goshen and Keystone Corporation in Wakarusa.
Survivors include his wife, Cyndi DeWitt, Pierceton; stepdaughter, Stephanie (Nate Ott) Cannon, Syracuse; three stepsons, David Hawthorne and Brock Hawthorne, both of Syracuse, and Joshua (Courtney Ruggier) Hawthorne, Warsaw; 14 stepgrandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and C.R. 500 North, North Webster. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw.
