Text size

A memorial service honoring and remembering the life of Kay Lynn Feeback will be 11:30 a.m., Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 at Cedar Point Church in Claremore. Kay passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017 in Tulsa, Okla. She was 57. The family has entrusted DeLozier Funeral Service, Chelsea, with Kay's care.
Born in Denver, Colo. on May 7, 1960 to Jesse and Jewel (Moore) Feeback, Kay was raised and educated in Claremore and graduated with the CHS Class of 1978. A mother of three children, Adam, Rachel, and Jordan; Kay provided for her family in Dallas by working in Food and Beverage service at The Grotto and Indian Creek Golf Course. It was to no one's surprise that she excelled at her career. If you knew Kay, you knew that whatever she set her mind to, it was going to happen. It was with the same determination that she fought the cancer that took her life at such a young age.
If you were fortunate enough for Kay to consider you a friend, you were also considered family. You learned quickly just how loyal she was and would willingly do anything to help you. Wherever she was and in whatever she did she brought an energy that was contagious. Kay had a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh that were truly unique to her.
Family was very important to Kay and you didn't have to be around her for very long to realize that. She was so proud of her children and all their accomplishments. When Kay spoke of her grandchildren it always put a sparkle in her eye and of course you better be ready to look at a few of her favorite pictures. When free time presented itself, Kay loved to cook for her family and was known for her biscuits and gravy. It was a recipe handed down from her grandmother and you couldn't forget her pumpkin bread. She was a huge football fan and an avid supporter of the Sooners and the Dallas Cowboys.
Her family said that Kay enjoyed good wine, good food, and of course a good cigar. She was a gifted floral designer. A talent inherited from her mother, who owned Christine's Flowers and Gifts in Claremore.
This mother, grandmother, and friend will be missed by all whose life she touched. Kay is survived by her children, Adam Shorter and wife Heather, Rachel Hill, and Jordan Feeback, grandchildren, Rylan Shorter, Harlee Hill, and Ivy Jean Hill, brother, David Feeback and wife Andrea, nieces and nephews, Brett, Jesse and Katie Feeback, and close family friend Bradley Smith. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse, mother, Jewel, and brother, Glen.
