Services to honor and remember the life of Leo Walker were 10 a.m. Saturday Sept. 3, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Claremore. Interment followed at Oakhaven Memorial Gardens. Mr. Walker passed away Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016 at his home, surround by his children. He was 88.
Leo Walker was born January 3, 1928 in Lyman, Oklahoma, the sixth of seven children.
He married Norma Jean "Jeanie" Bever in 1948 and was blessed with two children. Leo had a long-time career with Phillips Petroleum and retired to Claremore in 1986.
Leo was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean in 2011. He is survived by his children, Roger and Debra; four grandchildren, Emily, Elizabeth, Christopher and Lainey; and great-grandchildren, Drew, Meg, Liam, Sadie and Caleb.
He was a wonderful father, husband and grandfather. He will be greatly missed, but all of his family and friends rejoice in the knowledge that he is now with his Lord and Savior, Jesus. We look forward to seeing him again in Heaven. To God be the glory!
