Linda Sue Reed was born on May 12, 1941 to Elmer and Jane (McClintock) Hendren in Warren, Pennsylvania. She departed this life on March 26, 2017 at her home in Salina surrounded by her loving family at the age of 75 years, 10 months and 14 days.
Linda moved to Tulsa with her family in 1950. She graduated from Central High School in 1959. While attending Central High School, she met her high school sweetheart, Glenn Reed and they were married on November 20, 1959. She and her family moved to Salina in 1973. Linda worked in the medical office field for over 30 years, retiring from Mayes County Medical Center in 2006.
Linda had many interests over the years, including tennis, racquet ball and gardening but more than anything she loved her family. She was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn, of the home; her daughter, Diana Pritchett and husband Johnny of Salina; her son, James Reed of Edmond; grandsons, Brian Pritchett of Salina, Jeffrey Pritchett and wife Makayla of Salina, Michael Reed of Salina and James Reed Jr. of Tulsa; great grandsons, David, Alan and Brantley; brothers, Robert Hendren and wife Margaret of Sante Fe, Texas and Glen Hendren and wife Marcia of Canton, Georgia; brother in law, Rev. Thomas L. Reed of Kansas City, Kansas; sister in law, Jeanne Medeiros and husband Brian of Kansas City, Kansas and many nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her sister and brother in law, James and Marilyn Weaver.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations to the Alzheimer's Association, National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, or your local animal shelter in memory of Linda.
