Lindsey's Story

A celebration of the life of Lindsey Renea Boyles will be 1 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2016 at First United Methodist Church, 1615 OK-88, Claremore, Oklahoma. Rice Funeral Service has been entrusted with Lindsey's care.
And friends and family may visit at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon, 1-6 p.m.
Lindsey passed away in a Tulsa hospital on Monday, April 4, 2016 after having lived with Sickle Cell Anemia since she was an infant. Though the disease brought with it many challenges and limitations, it also gave Lindsey a strength of character that made her an inspiration to all who knew her throughout her much too brief 29 years.
Born on Jan. 25, 1987 in Claremore, Okla., Lindsey was lovingly reared by her mother Marion Denise Boyles.
She grew up and attended school in Claremore. She was a part of the Claremore High School class of 2005.
Because of her own health challenges, she chose to pursue a career in the medical field.
She had been a student at Career Point and was currently serving her internship at Utica Park Medical Clinic in Broken Arrow.
Lindsey was a beautiful young woman, who could have likely become a model, but instead she chose the career of service to others.
It seems her giving and thoughtful heart made her inner beauty even more noticeable than her outside appearance.
She had such a vibrant and outgoing spirit, making even the hardest of times seem better for she and her family.
Lindsey is survived by many friends and a loving and devoted family.
Those family members are her mother and step-father, Denise Boyles and Kirby Easley; Fiancé, Derrick Harris; siblings, Whitney Boyles and Kirby Easley Jr.; grandmother and grandfather Bertha Boyles and Willie and PawPaw Claudie (Derby); aunties and uncles, Robert and Michelle, Wilker and Ivy, Jolene, Ellsworth and Clarissa, Angela, Monica, Fred and Mike; cousins, Crystal, Robert, Megan, Sabrina, Tiffany, Micheal, Franklin, Trey, Alexander, Pam Monique and Toni, and a host of other beloved extended family members.
On behalf of Lindsey Boyles the family is accepting donations for her burial expense.
Unfortunately, due to her lengthy list of medical diagnoses, as a direct result of sickle cell anemia, she was unable to obtain life insurance.
