Funeral services for Lori L. Parsons, 58, of Pryor will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Stephens-Key Chapel in Pryor with burial to follow at Graham Memorial Cemetery. Pastor David Jarboe will officiate. Viewing will be held on Sunday from 12:00 to 6:00 PM and the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Services are entrusted to Stephens-Key Funeral and Cremation Care.
Lori L. Parsons was born on September 27, 1958 to Dresdon Mayo and Geraldine (Stafford) Hemperley in Pryor, Oklahoma. She departed this life on April 19, 2017 at her home in Pryor surrounding by her loving family at the age of 58 years, 6 months and 23 days.
Lori was a lifetime resident of Pryor. She attended school at Pryor Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1976. Through high school, she worked at the Mayes County Treasurers office. She then went to work at the court clerk's office as a deputy court clerk and later was elected Court Clerk. She loved being a part of her community and had been a member of the Pryor Rotary Club. She met Gary Parsons and the couple married on January 5, 1991. On July 25, 2013, Lori retired from the court clerk's office and was enjoying life with her family.
Lori enjoyed playing and watching softball, antiquing and crocheting. She also loved going to ghost towns. She loved her family very much and was very active in her children's and grandchildren's lives. She was there to support them and cheer them on in all of their activities. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and she will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Gary, of the home; one son Kent Grayson and wife Jen of Texas; three daughters, Cori Felkins and husband Jeremy of Owasso, Callie Parsons of Norman and Kaitlin Parsons of Alva; five grandchildren, Jules, Lydia, Trent, Vann and Bri; her mother Geraldine Hemperley of Pryor, one brother Scott Hemperley and one sister Paula Littlefield and husband Gary all of Pryor.
She is preceded in death by her father, Dresdon Mayo Hemperley.
