Services to remember and celebrate the life of Louise Garrison will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Midway Baptist Church (20474 S. 4230 Rd., Claremore, OK 74019). Interment will follow at Washington Cemetery. Family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Rice Funeral Service. Louise passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016 at her home. She was 84. Greta Louise Morton was born Feb. 2, 1932 in Maracaibo, Venezuela to Claud Stiles and Thelma Marie (Castle) Morton. In 1936, she was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edward Womack through an orphanage in Pryor, Okla. Louise was then reared and educated in Foyil, where she was a graduate of Foyil High School. She began a family of her own with the birth of sons: Edward and David Epps. Louise was employed as a Nurse’s Aide at various healthcare facilities through the years. On May 9, 1998 she married Billy Don Garrison in Claremore and the two established their home in the country where Louise enjoyed gardening and simply taking in God’s creation. A full time hobby, she enjoyed painting and crafting. Most of all, she enjoyed blessing others by gifting her works of art. Many have received her paintings, jewelry and bookmarks. There are even several murals that exist in area churches because of her handiwork. Louise will be remembered for her positive outlook and her faith in God. No matter the situation or circumstance, one would know if they asked Louise, the answer was, “I’m blessed.” She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Bill Don Garrison of the home; children: son, Edward Epps of Sand Springs, son, Jeff Garrison of Claremore, daughter, Debra Stewart and husband, Leroy of Catoosa and son, Greg Garrison and wife, Lauri of Springfield, Mo.; 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and her “baby”, Little Bit. She was preceded in death by: her parents; sisters: Jo Ann and Mary Lou; brothers: James and Norman; sons: David Epps and infant son, Donald Ray Epps.
