Funeral services for Louise Scott, 101, of Sedgwick, Kansas will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Stephens-Key Chapel in Pryor. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm at Shiloh Cemetery east of Arcadia, Kansas. Family and friends will officiate. Services are entrusted to Stephens-Key Funeral and Cremation Care.
Edith "Louise" Scott was born on December 10, 1915 to Henry and Edith (Barney) Stoll in Oakwood, Oklahoma. She passed away on February 18, 2017 in Sedgwick, Kansas at the age of 101 years, 2 months and 8 days.
Louise lived in Pryor for several years and about three years ago moved to Kansas. She married John V. Scott who preceded her in death on January 30, 1979. She was a homemaker all of her life. She loved to sew, cook and work in her flower garden. She also loved sitting in her rocking chair and listening to music. She was a special lady who was loved by all her knew her and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her two children, Carol Shipman of Sedgwick, Kansas and Keith Scott of Columbus, Nebraska; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, fourteen great great grandchildren, and one great great great grandchild and one on the way and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Edith; her husband John V. Scott; two sons Verdell and Vernie Scott; one daughter Lorene England; two brothers, Frank and Delbert Stoll; three sisters, Mabel Davis, Zelma Crain and Winnifred Cain and one granddaughter Lorene England.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Arthritis, Heart or Dementia Foundation.
