Memorial services for Nona Vee Riley, 83, Claremore, are Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Stephens-Key Chapel in Pryor. Bro. Stephen Jenks will officiate. Service and cremation arrangements are entrusted to Stephens-Key Funeral & Cremation Care in Pryor.

Nona was born on Feb. 10, 1933 in Sherman, Texas to Franklin S. and Lillie Belle (Phillips) Short. She passed away on July 29, 2016 in Tulsa.
She grew up and attended school in Ardmore. She was married to Dick Ryburn and from their union came three children. She later married Jack Riley on her birthday, February 10, 1977 in Gainesville, Texas. She was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker to her family. After her kids had families of their own, she loved being a grandma to her 6 grandkids, 7 great grandkids and 2 great-great grandkids. She was a lover of the outdoors and collected petrified wood and unique rocks everywhere she went. She also enjoyed traveling, quilting and cooking, especially making Christmas candy for the holidays. She moved to Claremore in 2004 to be closer to her family and this is where she was currently living.
She was a member of the Midway Baptist Church in Claremore.
She is survived by her son, Randy Ryburn and wife Denise of Claremore; 6 grandchildren, Greg Clark, Jennifer Dodd, Jeff Clark, Waylon Ryburn, Lindsey Ryburn and Cody Ryburn; 7 great grandchildren, Holly, Kimberly, Courtney, Joshua, Meagan, Tyler and Payton and 2 great-great grandchildren, Bentley and Isabella; 3 brothers, Frank Short and wife Laverne of Collinsville, Jim Short and wife Lovonia of Claremore, Robert Terry and wife Vernonda of Duncan and 1 sister, Mary Perryman of Pasadena, Texas; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, Dick Ryburn and Jack Riley; 2 children, Lena Clark and Jake Ryburn and 2 sisters, Betty and Florence.
