Funeral services for Norma Dean Mossier, 84, of Pryor, will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Stephens-Key Chapel in Pryor. Rev. Jerrold Pilant will officiate with burial following at Fairview Cemetery in Pryor. Services are entrusted to Stephens-Key Funeral & Cremation Care in Pryor.
Norma Dean was born on May 20, 1934 to Dan and Tina (McCleary) McCarty. She passed away on May 28, 2016 at the age of 84 years and 8 days.
Norma was a lifetime resident of Mayes County. She was married to Ray Mossier and they made their home in Pryor; from their union came two children. Norma worked for the Pryor Public School System as the Cafeteria Manager at the Jr. High and High School for several years. She was a member of the State Teacher's Association.
In her free time, Norma enjoyed fishing, gardening and baking bread. She loved her family very much and loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She will be greatly missed by them all.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda McClung and husband Allan of Chelsea and son Jody Mossier and wife Shirley of Oologah; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mary Proctor of Pryor and Dora Harris of Tulsa and 2 brothers, C.C. McCarty of Claremore and Danny McCarty of Tahlequah and 1 sister-in-law, Jean Mossier of Pryor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 1 sister, Joy McCarty.
