Memorial services for Paula Boston, 59, of Adair will be held on Saturday, Sept. 3, at 11AM at the Adair Event Center. Cremation and service arrangements are entrusted to Stephens-Key Funeral & Cremation Care in Pryor.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Adair Public Schools.
Paula Jo Boston who was Concessions Manager at Adair Public Schools and former owner of Boston's Texaco & Detail Shop, passed away Tuesday Aug. 30 at 12:02 p.m. in Tulsa, surrounded by her loving family.
Paula was born Jan. 15, 1957 to Paul and Prudence Wood in Chelsea, Mass. They moved to Pryor in the summer of 1968. She attended Pryor Schools and was a graduate of the Class of 1975. During high school she was a member of the 4-Way Round Up Club and was a former Rodeo Queen. She attended classes at Rogers State College. She met the love of her life Philip Boston in 1977. They were married on Jan. 20, 1978 and made their home south of Adair and raised their 3 children there.
Paula began working at Adair Public Schools in August of 2004. While there she was known for her delicious concession stand food and the special relationships she had with her students. Known for her smile and giving heart, she touched the lives of many people and will be dearly missed by all.
Survivors: Husband Philip of the home, one son Jared Boston of Meridian, Miss., two daughters Breanna and Bradley Grubbs of Claremore, and Becky and Nathan Best of Pryor. Three sisters Pattie Layton of Locust Grove, Pamela Coffey of Locust Grove, Penny and Wesley James of Chouteau, and one brother Jay Wood of Pryor. Ten grandchildren: Kaden, Kylie, Kennedy, Karsyn, Konner, Rhys, Finley, Bentley, Londyn and Boston. Numerous nieces and nephews, special nieces Sydney and Kaycee Wood and her little dog Ranger.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Wood; loving mother, Prudence Wood and her wonderful in-laws John and Mary Boston.
