Robert's Story

Services honoring, remembering, and celebrating the life of Robert Lee "Bob" Bryant, Jr. will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2018 at the Hilldale Baptist Church. Bob's family requests that all in attendance wear orange and black. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 pm.m. Thursday at Rice Funeral Service.
Bob passed away Monday evening, Feb. 26, 2018 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. He was 57 years old.
Born April 22, 1960 in Tulsa, Bob was the son of Robert Lee and Shirley Ellen (Lechlider) Bryant.
Bob attended elementary school at Union prior to his family moving back to Claremore, his father's hometown.
He loved hunting and fishing, and spending his summers at his grandparent's farm. Always a hard worker, Bob started working at Warehouse Market at the age of sixteen.
He graduated from Claremore High School with the Class of 1978.
Following high school, Bob sought employment with AT&T as a lineman. He was gainfully employed there for many years until his career path led him to State Farm. Bob's career in Technical Services at State Farm spanned for over thirty years. His colleagues or rather, friends at State Farm will miss him dearly.
Bob married Michelle Donathan Aug. 31, 1992 in Tulsa. Family was always a top priority to Bob.
He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren while fishing for crappie, golfing, attending sporting events, and even concerts.
Known to be a great role model, friends of his children would come to the door and ask, "Can Bob come out and play?"
He loved music from the 1970's including hits from Journey, REO Speedwagon, Clapton, and Boston.
Bob also loved the nightlife and dancing. In fact, he once earned the nickname "The Dancing Bear." Bob was a huge fan of the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
Survivng family members include his wife Michelle; his Mother, Shirley; his children: Brittany Osborne and her husband Greg, Raegan Bryant, Braden Bryant, and Robert Bryant; his grandchildren: Braxton Jolley, Beckham Jolley, Alexis Osborne, Bentley Osborne, and Bryant Freeman; his sister, Terri Roberts and his dogs: Marley, Rex, and Max. Bob was preceded in death by his father.
