Wilma Ann King, 63, of Kenwood, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on March 13, 1953; the daughter of Woodrow and Geneva (Proctor) Sapp. She worked as a Certified Medical Aid most of her life; working at various nursing homes and hospital. Wilma enjoyed sports, playing softball when she was younger and watching her grandchildren play. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and looked forward to watching them anytime they were playing. Wilma loved to play with her grandchildren and she cherished each moment she has to spend with them. Wilma had a loving and caring way with each person in her life, she leaves behind so many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in the Steeley Baptist Church in Salina with Reverend Richard Soldier and Reverend Chris King officiating. Burial will be in the Steeley Cemetery with Cody Soldier, Randall Pickup, Mitch Smith, Greg Kingfisher, Mike Belden, and George Hair serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 22, 2016 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. The Wake service will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Wilma is survived by her husband, Barry King of the home; sons, Nigel King of Kenwood, Oklahoma, Robert Thompson of Pryor, Oklahoma; son in law, Aubrey Tsosie of Kenwood, Oklahoma; daughter, Loni Smith of Pryor, Oklahoma; brother, Willis Sapp of Colcord, Oklahoma; sister, Vivian Sapp of Pryor, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Geneva Sapp and her daughter, Crawdad Tsosie.
