There will be services both in Oklahoma and Colorado to honor and remember the life of Wilma Jo Davidson Weipert. In Claremore, Okla. there will be a visitation at Rice Funeral Service, 631 E. Will Rogers Blvd., from noon to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, 2016, with family receiving visitors from 7-9 p.m. (918) 341-0376.
Services at Claremore will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016 in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1310 N. Sioux Ave., Claremore, Okla.
Services at Denver will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016 at a Fairmount Cemetery Chapel, 430 S Quebec St. Denver, Colo., (303) 399-0692.
Wilma Jo Davidson Weipert, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016. She is survived by her children Karla J. Henry of Claremore, Okla. and Dennis Ray Davidson of Lone Tree, Colo. and their spouses Dr. John B. Henry and Jo Ellen Davidson; stepsons Gregory Weipert of Centennial, Colo. and Kenneth Weipert of Randleman, NC and their wives Janet and Rose; grandchildren Jared, Joshua and Markus Henry, Jamye Biggs and husband, Ryan, Sarah Davidson, Joseph Davidson and wife, Jenny, Joanne and Sabrina Basquez; great-grandchildren Grant Biggs and Neeya King; twin niece and nephew, Lori and Marcus Weipert, Curt Hancock and wife, Valerie, Craig Hancock and many other extended family and friends who loved her dearly.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years Dr. Louis F. Weipert, and husband of 18 years Raymond Dale Davidson; parents Albert Sidney Hancock, Sr. and Grace Hancock; brother Albert Sidney Hancock, Jr. and wife, Lillian; and daughter Cynthia Sue Davidson.
Wilma was born June 25, 1927 in Chickasha, Okla. After earning an undergraduate degree in Music Education at Oklahoma College for Women and a graduate degree in Social Studies at West Texas A&M, she taught school in Chickasha, Tulsa and Denver, Colo. After a long career in teaching, Wilma and Louis retired from teaching in Denver Public Schools to their mountain home in Glen Haven, Colo.
