Charles Leslie Osborn, age 87, passed away at his Claremore home on Wednesday morning, Feb. 17, 2016. Interment will be at Oakhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Rice Funeral Service. Charles was born on Aug. 20, 1928 in Arkansas City, Kansas. He was the son of Charles Augusta and Lottie Mae (Carpenter) Osborn. He served his country for 13 years in the US Army. During his service years he met Betty Sachiko Kusaka while on leave in Japan. They married on June 21, 1952 in Tokyo. Wichita was home until the late sixties when they moved to Claremore for Charles’ job with American Airlines. Always prepared in case of down time with the airlines, Charles also operated his own auto repair shop (the best in town). Charles is survived by his wife Betty of their home, two children: Kathy Adams and Dave of Norman and Leslie Osborn and Kerry of Norwalk, Calif., two grandchildren: Nate Adams of Norman and Catherine Osborn of Norwalk, Calif., and four siblings: Betty Coyan, Leotta Terill, Sally Willis and Pete Osborn.
