Greyson's Story

Greyson Michael Franklin Knowles was born on March 21, 2001, in Claremore, to Michelle (Kirby) Knowles and Richard Eugene Knowles, Jr. He departed this life on Sunday, July 3, 2016, in Tulsa, at the age of 15 years, 3 months, and 15 days.

Greyson attended the First Free Will Baptist Church in Locust Grove. He was an active member of the Locust Grove FFA, where he enjoyed showing his pigs and being a part of the Dairy Judging Team. Greyson was a team player on the Locust Grove Pirate Baseball Team. He enjoyed doing anything outside, including fishing and hunting, especially for deer. Greyson was a self taught welder. He had a talent for working on cars and could be found cutting wood, just one way he would try to make money. Greyson loved spending time with his friends, especially his closest friend and girlfriend, Kasey.

Greyson is survived by his mother: Michelle Knowles and fiancée Barry Rashford of Locust Grove; his father: Richard Knowles and his family of Wagoner; 1 brother: Patrick Knowles of Locust Grove; grandparents: Roy & Sherrie Dawson of Locust Grove; Pat & Richard Knowles of Locust Grove; Mike and Cindy Kirby of Rose; great-grandmother: Nellie Williams of Locust Grove; numerous aunts and uncles, including: Chad and Kristi Kirby of Locust Grove, Oklahoma and Terri Knott of Locust Grove; Very best friend and girlfriend, his everything: Kasey Ragsdale and her mother, Lori of Locust Grove; His best buddy and mini-me: Cash Kirby of Locust Grove.

Greyson was preceded in death by: his grandparents: Bud Williams and Navada Kirby.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2016 at the Locust Grove Pirate Arena. Pastor Mark Coday & Reverend Jeff Blair will officiate. Interment will officiate at the New Home Cemetery in Peggs, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the Locust Grove Funeral Home.
