Cremation arrangements for Loren Williams, 74, of Pryor are entrusted to Stephens-Key Funeral and Cremation Care. Entombment will follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
Loren Edward Williams was born on July 7, 1942 to Edward Earl and Pearl (Oglesby) Williams in Denton, Texas. He departed this life on February 16, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years, 7 months and 9 days.
Shortly after high school Loren joined the United States Navy and served for seventeen years. After being honorably discharged he went to work as a truck driver for Tri-State Trucking in Tulsa and Joplin. In 1984 he married Marcey Keener, while traveling together in the truck they stopped in Reno, Nevada and got married.
In his younger years, he enjoyed working in his yard and painting. He painted several scenes that were framed. He also enjoyed fishing and camping. Above all, he loved spending time with his wife, Marcey. He was a great man who served our country well and he will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife, Marcey, of the home and two cousins, Linda and Juan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Earl and Pearl.
