Graveside services for Micaela "Mickey" Adams, 88, of Langley will be held Friday, December 9, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore. Henry "Hank" Gonzales will officiate. Services are entrusted to Stephens-Key Funeral and Cremation Care.
Micaela "Mickey" Adams was born on September 29, 1928 in Glendale, Arizona to Pedro and Marina (Enriquez) Gonzales. She departed this life on November 28, 2016 in Tulsa at the age of 88 years, 1 month, and 30 days.
Mickey attended school and graduated from Santa Monica High School in California in 1946. After high school she attended junior college for about a year and then went to work for Douglas Aircraft in Santa Monica. She soon met Roydean Adams and they were married on November 21, 1948 and made their home in Santa Monica. Upon her retirement as a buyer and negotiator from Douglas Aircraft in 1984 they moved to Oklahoma. After to moving to Oklahoma she and Roydean owned and operated Scotty's Cove on Grand Lake. Mickey loved the people at the marina and she loved to sit and visit with them in the clubhouse. She was a very precise book keeper and she enjoyed keeping the books for the family business.
Mickey was an avid reader and enjoyed going to second hand stores. She also loved remodeling and made a wonderful kitchen in their home. Everyone in Langley knew Mickey, she was loved by all her family and friends and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband, Roydean; one daughter, Penny Bowen of Simi Valley, California; five grandchildren, Peter, Mary, Kimi, Kerry, and Diedre and several great grandchildren that she truly loved; one brother, Hank Gonzales and wife Glenda of Auburn, California and several other nieces, nephew, relatives and friends.
