Funeral services for Nathan Wayne Sanders, 33, of Salina will be Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Blue Springs Church in Salina with burial to follow at the Sanders-Duniphin Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 30 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Stephens-Key Chapel in Pryor. Pastor Lorne Beck and Dr. Steve Waechter will officiate. Services are entrusted to Stephens-Key Funeral and Cremation Care.
Nathan Wayne Sanders was born on September 26, 1983 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Howard Wayne and Carmen Gayle (Duniphin) Sanders. He passed away on November 26, 2016 in Pryor, Oklahoma at the age of 33 years and 2 months.
Nathan was the firstborn child and the first grandchild, he was his Mema's pride and joy. He grew up and was a lifetime resident of Salina. He attended school at Salina Public Schools and graduated with the class of 2002. Nathan worked as a tree trimmer for the company We Love Trees.
He enjoyed working on cars, restoring them and making them run fast. He also liked to fish and shoot guns. The most important thing to him was his family, especially his three children. He will be deeply missed by all who shared in his life.
He is survived by his three children, LiLee, Jescee, and Baxter; the mother of his children Lacy Sixkiller Sanders; his parents Wayne and Carmen; one brother, Ethan Sanders and wife Maria; two nieces, Alanna and Brayleigh Sanders; his grandparents, Homer and Leona Duniphin all of Salina and Howard Sanders of Spavinaw; two best friends, Jason Roberts of Pryor and Chris White of Salina and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Eloise Sanders; his uncle, Mike Mosby; and his great grandmother, Doris Duniphin.
