Service for Alta Faye Rader will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 10, 2025, at Sequoyah Baptist Church, burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit at MMS-Payne Funeral Home on Sunday, March 9, from 2pm-6pm.
Alta Faye (Lafferty) Rader was the youngest child born to Roy and Laura (Cooper) Lafferty on February 25, 1928. She left this world on February 28, 2025, at the age of ninety-seven and three days to be embraced by the loving arms of her Savior. Alta Faye had six older brothers and two older sisters who preceded her in death.
She attended Foyil and Sequoyah schools and lived in these communities her entire life. She attended Sequoyah Baptist Church and played the piano there for many years.
In August 1946 Alta Faye Lafferty married Alfred Ernest "Whack" Rader. Together they had a daughter and a son.
She is survived by her daughter Alfreda (Rader) Robinson and her son Terry Joe Rader (wife Sharre); grandchildren Stacy Hillegeist (husband Clay), Randy Robinson (wife Kristin), Heather Moles (husband John), Misty Rader (husband Shannon Reeder), and Melody Burns (husband Boomer); great-grandchildren Hunter Hillegeist, Grayson Hillegeist, Kinley Robinson, Callen Robinson, Micah Moles (wife Baylee), Seth Moles (wife Anna), and Trinity Moles; and great-great-grandson Gabriel Tanner Moles.
Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, siblings, son-in-law Larry Robinson, and great-grandson Gabriel Lee Moles.
