Traverse City, MI - Charles ("Charley") Alan Ziriax, 78, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on December 31 in New Orleans while on vacation with family. Born to Irvin and Marian Louise (Romig) Ziriax on August 2, 1946, in Colville, Washington, the family moved to Tulsa in 1950. He graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1964 and OSU Institute of Technology in 1967 with an HVAC degree. Charley worked at Webster Engineering, John Zink, his own HVAC business, and Claremore Regional Hospital until his retirement in 2008.
Charley was married to Evelyn Montgomery from 1968 to 1980, with whom he had two children, Paul and Angela. He later married Pam Andrews in 1998 at St Paul's Episcopal Church in Claremore. They lived in Claremore until 2020, then moved to Traverse City, Michigan.
Charley was a kind, gentle, and caring man who valued hard work and cherished time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Pam; children Paul (Lisa) Ziriax and Angi (Tom) Simpson; step-children Alison (Rick) Sheets and Tracy (Mike Grant) Andrews; grandchildren Allie Ziriax, Erin Sheets, John Sheets, Franklin Andrews, and Jane Andrews; and brother Jim Ziriax.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on January 18 at St Paul's Episcopal Church in Claremore, preceded by family visitation from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and followed by burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.
