Claremore - Services to celebrate and remember the life of Clayton Myles "Clay" Collins will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Jack Collins Sports and Fine Arts Complex at Verdigris Public Schools 8204 E. 540 Road Claremore, OK. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2025, at Woodlawn Cemetery, where Clay will be laid to rest beside his parents. Clay passed away on November 26, 2025. He was 65 years old.

Born into a pioneer Rogers County family, Clay was one of nine children gifted to Jack and Lois (Tacker) Collins. Clay was born in on August 1, 1960. He was raised and educated in Verdigris and Claremore and graduated with the Class of 1978. He continued his education at Claremore Junior College (now RSU) for a short time before deciding to follow in his family's footsteps as a farmer. Clay was truly in his element on the farm; he enjoyed every aspect of it and was willing to work from sunup to sundown.

Described by his family as determined, driven, very centered, and a leader. He was a people person and could easily carry on a conversation with anyone. Throughout his life Clay was active in several organizations including 4H, FFA, and Clem's Cow Pokes. He also gave his time to the Oklahoma Youth Quarter Horse Association and the Will Rogers Roundup Club serving as president for both. According to his family he was an excellent cook and known for his biscuits and gravy. Born a pretty baby with big blue eyes and even winning the Rogers County Fair Baby Contest when he was 2. His family always said someday he was destined to have a daughter to pass on his prettiness. On August 23, 2011, that is exactly what happened. Clay became the father of a beautiful baby girl Revelle. A birth that changed him for the rest of his life. Revelle said she loved being an only child because it allowed her dad to play and spend time with her. Their days were filled with work, but they always found time to ride the 4-wheelers and have fun. Clay was so excited that as Revelle got older their home became the favorite hangout for her and her friends.

Even though Clay was a tough guy, he was very sentimental, even about very small things. His barn and house were a trove of treasures. Every small thing meant something to him, but his biggest treasure in the world was his daughter Revelle. He was so proud of her. Not only her academic achievements, but her deep love for the farm and animals. He was proud that someday she would run the farm without him. He spent his days loving and teaching her for that purpose. He was also proud of her for giving her life to Jesus. He wanted her to understand that she was a steward of God's land and his animals. Revelle is surrounded, supported and loved deeply by Clay's family.

A man that loved his family and friends beyond measure, Clay has left a huge footprint and legacy that will live on. Clay is survived by his "Little Dandy", his daughter, Revelle Jacsyn Dossie Collins, siblings, Reg Collins, Sharon Breeding, Lezle Treadwell, Trent Collins, Meredith Self and husband Brent, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Clay was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Lois Collins, sisters, Carol Story, Lavonne Reavis, and Jacque "Suke" Young.
