Dayna Louise Butler, 82, beloved mother and grandmother, formerly of Claremore, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday morning, March 11, 2025, in Grandbury, Texas.
Dayna was born on November 4, 1942 to Frank and Nine (Condry) Butler. Dayna was raised in Claremore and graduated with the class of 1960. She later obtained a bachelor's degree in education from Northeastern State University, Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
She lived most of her adult life in Houston, Texas, where she raised her two sons.
Dayna was a voracious reader and enjoyed watching westerns. She was an enthusiastic traveler, and particularly enjoyed Europe. She was a person of deep Christian faith. Dayna was known for her quick wit, but she will be remembered most for the love and devotion she had for her family.
Dayna is survived by her sons, David and wife Gina Bohreer of Grandbury, Texas, and Steven Bohreer of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jacob and Julia Bohreer of Grandbury and Lukas Bohreer of Houston. Other survivors are her sisters, Mary Ann Spangler of Claremore, Oklahoma, and LaVon Ekerberg of Pryor, Oklahoma, as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Dayna was preceded in death by her sister, Sheryl (Butler) Wheeler.
A committal service for Dayna will be held in Claremore, Oklahoma at a later date.
