Pryor, OK - Dolores Marie Elizabeth Ann Holtmeyer Morris

Dolores was born August 25, 1931 in Washington, Missouri. She passed from this life on May 3, 2026.

Dolores married Marvin D. Morris on June 14, 1952. The newlyweds moved to California while Marvin served in the Navy and afterward they settled in the Miami and Wyandotte areas. The last few years, she has lived near Pryor, Oklahoma to be nearer her children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; her son, Joseph Neil; daughter-in-law, Cathy Morris; her parents Herbert and Catherine Holtmeyer; Brothers Herbert, Robert and Lambert Holtmeyer and sister Arlene Toben. Her brother Gilbert Holtmeyer and sister Virginia Pope survive.

Dolores is also survived by her nine children: daughters Julie Purdum (Lynn), Theresa Hammers (Jim), Mary Burgess (Rob) and Andrea Sullivan (David); and her sons David Morris, Chris Morris, Tom Morris (Kelly), Mark Morris (Kjersti) and Robert Morris (DaAnn).

She was a loving grandmother to 29 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren.

Dolores worked for the Wyandotte Public School System for years. She was a devout Catholic and served as secretary for Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She taught Religious Education for about 30 years. At times, she served as choir member, lector and Eucharistic Minister for Sacred Heart and lector and Eucharistic Minister at Saint Elizabeth's in Grove. She was a member of The Legion of Mary and the Alter Society. She prayed for her entire family by individual name every night.

Rosary led by John Walls and visitation will be 7pm, Thursday, May 7, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Miami. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am at Sacred Heart with Reverend Nicholas Jurgensmeyer officiating. Services are under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Pallbearers are John, Christopher, Alex, Shelby, Joseph, Zachary and Issac Morris, Nicholas and Michael Hammers and Drew Burgess. Lectors are Rachel Purdum, Jennifer Stimson and Anne Sullivan.
