Isabelle Turner Obituary

Isabelle Turner was born in Mt. Erie, Illinois, on September, 17th, 1921. Her parents were Mabel Vandever and Daniel Berg. She had three siblings; Ethel, Francis and Eldan. Her mother died when she was a baby so she lived with foster parents until she was thirteen,

and then with her father until she was eighteen, and attended high school in Salem. There she met and married Flay Martin Turner. They had two children; Terry Marlin, and Betty Jane.


The family moved to Tulsa in 1951. There she worked for Sinclair Oil and Gas from 1956 to 1971, then worked for the Harman Foundation until 1991. They then moved to Claremore to live near her daughter. Flay died in 1995 and she lived on until December 10, 2024,

and died at 103 years of age.


Her activities in Claremore included being a member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church, Quest Club, as well as various bridge and canasta clubs, Volunteer for the Claremore Hospital Auxiliary, and Meals on Wheels, taking care of her cats, and activities with her

daughter and friends.


She is survived by her son Jerry Marlin, and his wife Linda, her grandchildren; Angela and William Turner, her great grandson; Chase and her daughter; Betty Jane Hutchison.


She will be buried in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa. Oklahoma Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at 2 o'clock pm.
