Katherine Elisabeth Doyle
January 3, 1961 - June 29, 2019
Katherine "Kathy" Elisabeth Doyle, 58 (Verdigris, Okla.) born January 3, 1961, passed from this life Saturday, June 29, 2019.
Born in Claremore to Cecil and Patricia (Phillips) Doyle, Kathy attended school at Verdigris and Catoosa, graduating in 1979. She continued her education at McPherson Junior College, Kansas, earning her associate degree, 1981. While in high school and college she enjoyed playing basketball and volleyball.
Her work career was as a journeyman electrician working with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 584, Tulsa, and IBEW Local 567, Portland, Maine. Kathy traveled to many places with her trade and enjoyed meeting fellow electricians and making lifelong friends. Still, her greatest accomplishment was being a mother to her son, Christopher. When time allowed, she loved to go camping and spending time with her family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed all types of music.
She is survived by son, Christopher Landry, and wife Debra; grandchildren Louis and Celeste; mother Patricia "Pat" Doyle; siblings Sharon Forrest, Cecilia Yetter, Mike Doyle, Wally Doyle and Tom Doyle; along with a host of in-laws, nephews, nieces and great-nephews and great nieces, longtime residents of Rogers County. Kathy was preceded in death by her father Cecil Doyle and brother Kenneth Doyle.
Services for Kathy included The Rosary Prayer Service, July 2, at MMS Payne Funeral Home. Her funeral services were July 3, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Claremore, burial in Oakhaven Memorial Gardens. The Reverend Sylvanus Amaobi officiated.
