Kennel Wayne Workman, 74, of Ketchum, OK passed away on 11/19/24 at 12:45 AM at Claremore Veteran's Center. Ken was born on 4/8/50 in Fairland, OK. He grew up in Claremore, OK.
After graduation he entered the service and was a member of the Army in the 173rd Airborne. After receiving a Purple Heart in Vietnam and honorably discharged, he attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK and received a BA in Accounting.
He settled his young family in Claremore and worked for the Department of Interior until his retirement. In 1989, he married the love of his life Jan and they resided in the Grand Lake area on a farm in Craig County. Ken enjoyed hunting, fishing and running his farm with Jan by his side.
Ken is survived by his wife of 34 years Jan B Workman, his son and daughter in law Kenny and Jentry Workman, his daughter Tessa Rodriguez and his three grandsons Luke and Ben Workman and Gabe Rodriguez.
Ken passed away peacefully with his family by his side following a battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. A private celebration of life will be held at a later time.
