Margaret Pavey

Services celebrating and remembering the life of Margaret M. Pavey will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 1, 2019 at First United Methodist in Claremore. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of DeLozier Funeral Service, Chelsea. Margaret passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2019 in Claremore. She was 83.
Born May 31, 1936 in Tulsa, OK to Willis and Beatrice (Carpenter) Srader, Margaret was raised and educated in Tulsa. She attended Cleveland Junior High and then graduated from Will Rogers High School. On October 14, 1955 Margaret married the love of her life, Reginald "Reg" Pavey, in a Tulsa, OK ceremony. Their union was gifted with two children, Steve and Cathey.
The matriarch of the Pavey home, Margaret spent her entire life caring for her home and family. She supported her children in each of their activities: 4-H, livestock shows, and school sporting events. When grandchildren and great grandchildren came along, "Granny" might have been her favorite word to hear. She cherished the time with her grands; whether it be teaching them to drive the million mile golf cart, helping with homework, or just helping them memorize their multiplication tables. She loved each and every minute of it.
When free time presented itself nothing could put a smile on her face like a day at the lake fishing and riding on the pontoon boat. She was an avid stock car and NASCAR fan. Margaret was a true POKE and followed OSU basketball as well. Circle P Cattle Company, the business she and Reg started together, raising and selling registered Texas Longhorn cattle. Although it was hard work she enjoyed it and working side by side with her husband. It was because of this that the Ft. Worth Stockyards became one of her favorite destinations. A woman small in stature, Margaret has left a huge legacy, which will live on in the lives of her family and friends.
This wife, mother, and granny is survived by her husband of 63 years, Reg, son, Steve Pavey and wife Julie, grandchildren, Brandon Foster and wife Ashleigh, and Kevin Foster, great grandchildren, Madison Foster, Cashyn Foster, and Adley Foster, and sister in law, Betty Smith. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, and daughter, Cathey Swan.
