Norma Jean Suntken, 79, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2023 at her home in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Norma was born on March 09, 1944 in Martinez, California to parents William and Nama Kelly. Norma is survived by her son, Wade Scribner, sister Boyce Paul of Edmond, Oklahoma, brother Joe Edwards of Owasso, Oklahoma, grandchildren Zachary, Katie and Haley and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughter Lisa Scribner and sisters Daphine Nimmo and Joy Jackson. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 6th at Washington Cemetery, 19150 E. 430 Road, Claremore, Oklahoma.

Norma lived a colorful life. She collected fabric and made quilts for the needy from her craft room in the garage filled with all colors and patterns for beautiful one-of-a-kind quilts. She loved to garden, growing vegetables and flowers in her backyard. She loved to keep bread crumbs and feed the birds every morning. The birds would fly in and walk right up to her to get their morning meal. Norma also loved to sing Karaoke with her friends and drink sodas and she was always ready for a game of dominoes or cards. Norma worked as a hair stylist and was a small business owner for many years. Some would say she was a firecracker because you never had to guess her thoughts - she would tell you! Norma loved to laugh and be with her family and friends and she made many friends wherever she was. She will be missed for the candid humor and love she brought to our lives.
