Paula  Hedgpath
Paula Denyse Hedgpath (Mammy), 79, of Claremore, Oklahoma passed away on February 17, 2020.
Denyse was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on December 5th, 1940. Denyse is the daughter of David and Hazel Graves of Claremore,OK She graduated from Claremore High School in 1959.
Denyse was married to the love of her life, Donald Ray Hedgpath, in 1957. Upon completion of his Army Officer's Candidate School, they were stationed at various military installations across the United States for 33 years. Denyse greeted and served hundreds of mid-western customers with her warm and inviting smile across the region and military installations before finally retiring from Bank of America in Catoosa in 1994. She continued to serve her community and congregation through volunteering at the First United Methodist Church in Claremore, Oklahoma. She loved playing cards with her family and friends and eagerly challenged her fifteen grandchildren to Jeopardy style questions on random subjects of both current and the past. She enjoyed conversations with her sisters and children sharing stories of "how it once was" and encouraging all around her to make new and lasting memories.
Denyse is survived by daughters: Darla Meisinger and her husband Cole of Claremore, Oklahoma, Dyanna Moore and her husband Scott of Alexandria, Virginia; her son: Daniel Hedgpath and his wife Paige of Fulton, Missouri; her daughter-in-law: Trudy Hedgpath; sisters: Darla Davis, and her husband Jim of Springdale, Arkansas,David Ann Ward and her husband Carl of Claremore, Oklahoma; grandchildren include Cassidy, Gage, Jack, and Dani; Jordan, Spencer, McKenzie, and Cooper; Makaela, Riley, Sydney, Samantha, and Jayna; Amanda, and Allyson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her husband preceded her in death in 2015. She was also preceded in death by her son Donnie in 2006.
A memorial service honoring and remembering Denyse will be held at First United Methodist Church on Saturday, February 22nd at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Ray Crawford of First United Methodist Church will be officiating.
Memorial donations may be given to the First United Methodist Church - Good Samaritan Fund.
