Reg passed away at his home in Claremore, on Thursday, March 28, 2024. He was 87.

Born in Pampa, Texas on July 24, 1936 to Arthur "Art" and Patience (Weeks) Pavey, Reg was raised and educated in Tulsa and graduated from Rogers High School with the Class of 1955. On October 14, 1955, Reg married the love of his life, Margaret Srader, in Tulsa, OK. Their marriage lasted for over 63 years until her passing in 2019. They were the proud parents of two children, Steve, and Cathey. Reg provided for his family working at Tyler Dawson Supply until he decided to open his own company, Performance Valve. Reg truly had a gift for business. It was something he was very proud of and made sure he instilled that in the life and heart of his grandson, Brandon. In fact, Brandon said his grandpa taught him how to love, provide and protect his family. He also gave him priceless advice in business.

In later life, after retirement, Reg and Margaret started a new adventure. They began raising Longhorn Cattle and joined the Texas-Oklahoma Longhorn Association. They traveled the longhorn circuit showing cattle and making countless lifelong friendships. Reg liked sprint car races and told his grandson Rowdy he was going to be his sprint car driver someday. In his younger days, Reg owned and raced his own car. Another gift he had was that of conversation. Reg never met a stranger and would talk to anyone. He loved his family and looked forward to his son Steve's call every evening. Sunday dinners with Brandon and Ashleigh were treasured times and filled with lasting memories. One of those memories would be his ride home with granddaughter Madison at 100 mph. Reg referred to those rides as the white knuckle express. He was involved in all his grandchildren's sporting events and activities. Grandpa was always there and it might be said he was their biggest fan. When it came to Brandon's wife Ashleigh, Reg made sure she knew just how much he loved her. Calling her his best girl and loving her like his own. It brought Reg so much pride as he watched them work together as a team and raise their family together. He knew Ashleigh was the perfect help mate for Brandon.

As Reg's health began to decline he looked forward to the trips with Roy to the farm. He was always appreciative of the Peper boys and the help they were to him at the farm. The family would like to thank Roy Slawson for helping with Reg's care over the past year and a half. Roy made sure Reg went to his farm to check his cattle and did not miss a doctor's appointment. They would like to express their thanks to Renee Bethea for helping them care for Grandpa and being there for him through hospice. No story about Reg would be complete unless you mentioned, Daisy Mae. A golden doodle that was gifted to him after Margaret's passing. Daisy Mae not only occupied his time but lived up to the old adage of being man's best friend.

A man that has left a huge footprint and legacy. Reg is survived by his son, Steve and wife, Julie Pavey, Brandon and wife, Ashleigh Foster and their children, Madison, Cashyn, Adley and Rowdy Foster. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, daughter, Cathey, his parents and sister, Betty.
