Tulsa, OK - Robert "Bob" Brun, 76, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2024. He was a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma for over 50 years.
Robert was born on September 20, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan, to parents Bruno and Ann Brun. He was a very devoted son. He dutifully cared for his mother during her later years, demonstrating his profound commitment to family.
Robert pursued higher education, earning a Master's degree from the University of Tulsa and obtaining certifications as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and an Enrolled Agent (EA).
His professional journey was marked by a deep sense of service. As an H&R Block franchisee, Robert dedicated himself to maximizing his clients' tax benefits and assisting them in achieving their financial objectives. He fostered a nurturing environment for his team, earning both their affection and respect. In 2023, he ranked among the top 100 franchisees, a testament to his tireless dedication and the collective effort of his staff.
Beyond his career accomplishments, Robert was truly blessed with a loving family and wonderful friends.
He is survived by his brother, Dennis (Denny) Brun, and sister-in-law Katherine (Kathy), along with his nephews, Matthew (Kathryn) of Wheaton, Illinois, and Adam (Amanda) of St. Louis Park, Minneapolis, as well as his great-nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service in memory of Robert will be held at the Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 4:00 pm, followed by a reception in the Fitzgerald Family Center immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to a meaningful cause in honor of Robert's legacy.
