Vian - Terry Lee Childress was born to Albert John and Zelda Mae (Kaiser) Childress on April 2, 1947 in Bakersfield, CA. He departed this life on November 8, 2024 in Vian, OK., at the age of 77 years.

Terry was a public servant all of his life, working for Chickasha Police Department, Norman Police Department and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Retiring from OHP after 25 years of service. He spent most of his adult life in Claremore, OK. living in Vian, OK., the last several years. He attended Chickasha High School and graduated with the Class of 1965. On May 29, 1965 he enlisted into the United States Army and served his Country until he was Honorably Discharged on January 12, 1978. Terry was a man of great Faith and loved the Lord with all his heart and soul.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Clark Childress and Charlotte Craddock. He is survived by (2) daughters: Tammy Marie Seward and fiancee Michael Rubin of Mustang, Tamara McMillen and husband Michael of Sallisaw, (2) sisters: Sharon Cloukia of Chickasha, Diane Hurley and husband Michael of Verdon, (6) grandchildren: Joshua Compton and fiancee Whitney Hobbs, Cody Compton and fiancee Courtney Richebourg, Kevin Knapp and wife Vicky, Bre Reid of Oklahoma City, Ricky Knapp and Braxton Reid, (13) great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
