Tonna married three times. Firstly, Robbie Robison, her high school sweetheart, and father of her three daughters. They became a 10 year military family. Secondly, Vince Ludinich, the father of her only son, also an active-duty Marine. And finally, the love of her life, Andrew 'A.L' Bell, she widowed in 1986.
Each morning, mother repeated, "Study hard." To her credit, we four children earned bachelor's degrees.
Mother was a beautiful woman that chose to live a humble existence. Her joy in life, was to watch her three grandsons in their sporting events. Mowing, breaking bread, and talking on the phone were among her favorite pastimes. She was the perpetual caregiver, having exhibited compassion.
