Claremore - Virginia Pauline Funkhouser, affectionately known as Ginny, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2023, in Claremore, Oklahoma. Born on January 17, 1939, in Onida, South Dakota, Ginny's warmth and kindness touched all who knew her.

Ginny dedicated her life to nurturing young minds as a beloved elementary school teacher before her retirement. Her love for reading and music, especially her talent for playing the piano, was only matched by her commitment to her faith, actively participating in the Redeemer Lutheran Church and Bethany Lutheran Church communities.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and thoughtfulness, survived by her devoted husband, Robert M. Funkhouser; sons, Robert P. and Michael P. Funkhouser; daughter-in-law, Tina Funkhouser; and cherished granddaughters, Hailey and Sydney Funkhouser.

Ginny's memory will be treasured as a guiding light of love, kindness, and thoughtfulness, forever etched in the hearts of her family and the many lives she touched.
