Claremore - A Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m at Inola Funeral Home. A Funeral Service was held on Thursday April 17, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Inola First Baptist Church.
Willa Mae Littlefield, age 89, of Inola, Oklahoma, passed away on April 11, 2026.
Willa was born in Inola, Oklahoma, to William Calvin Blackwell and Irma Mae Blackwell. She grew up in Inola and attended Inola Public Schools, graduating with the Class of 1955. Following high school, she began working in the payroll department for Tulsa Public Schools, where she was employed until she met the love of her life, L.D. Littlefield. The couple was united in marriage on July 6, 1956, and shared many devoted years together living Inola, Ok where they raised there two daughters Tammy and Sharon.
Willa had a deep love for her hometown of Inola and was actively involved in numerous community organizations and activities including the Chamber of Commerce and Library Board. She was a dedicated member of the local senior citizens group and shared her thoughts and stories with the community through her newspaper column, "Ramblins by Willa," in the Inola paper. Willa and her husband were also faithful members of First Baptist Church, where she participated in many church activities, The Women's Missionary Union Auxiliary where she helped raise thousands of dollars to help fund mission trips all over the world, teaching Sunday School, helping on the kitchen committee, and instrumental in building the current Worship Center.
In addition to her community involvement, Willa worked as an Avon sales representative for more than 20 years. She earned multiple awards throughout her career, accomplishments of which she was especially proud.
Willa was preceded in death by her beloved husband, L.D. Littlefield; her father, William Blackwell, and stepmother, Georgia Blackwell; her mother, Irma Lowther, and stepfather, Lem Lowther; her brother, Tex Blackwell; her sister, Elaner; her daughter, Tammy Littlefield; and her step-siblings, Jack Lowther, Robert Lowther, Harold Lowther, and Lem Lowther Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Littlefield; her sister-in-law, Judy Blackwell; and many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
Willa will be remembered for her strong faith, her love of family and community, and her warm and generous spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and service that will not be forgotten.
