William (Bill) Carl Mathew Obituary

William (Bill) Carl Mathews, 55 of Claremore, Oklahoma passed from this life after a long fought cancer battle on Saturday, May 25, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born February 23, 1969 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Bill graduated from Claremore High School in 1988. Bill married the love of his life, Kate Mathews in his favorite town of Deadwood, South Dakota May 20, 2023. Bill and Kate were inseparable. Bill was a wonderful, loving and devoted husband to Kate.

Bill worked as a plumber and toured the country with music bands Western Justice, Thomas Martinez and Big Skillet. Bill made many friends on the road and built a lifetime of memories. Bill cherished his time with family and friends. He was charismatic and everybody loved spending time with him. He loved a good story and a reason to laugh. Rest in peace devoted husband, son and brother. We will miss you immensely.

Bill is survived by his wife Kate Mathews of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his father Pierce Duckett of Claremore, OK and sister, Nancy Leonard of Claremore, OK and many friends that called him brother. Bill's mother, Ann Duckett and brother, Lawrence Mathews, preceded him in death.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held in Tulsa, OK with the date pending.
